Does it hurt?
No. Permanent makeup is not completely painless but is generally considered minimal discomfort. I use numbing creams throughout the entire process to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, so communication is key.
How long does permanent makeup last? How many appointments to get results?
Permanent Makeup is a process and can last 1 to 3 years. Each person heals and retains pigment differently. Typically, it will take two appointments- the initial session and a touch up to get the best color retention. Many factors such as lifestyle, aftercare, and metabolism can determine if you need additional sessions. Also covering up previous PMU may take additional sessions to correct color, shape, etc. It’s always easier to add more pigment than to take it away.
How long is the recovery?
Like any tattoo, permanent makeup requires a little TLC during the healing and recovery process. We will go over your aftercare plan and address any questions you may have. I will also give you an aftercare kit of everything you will need including written instructions. The time for complete healing and recovery usually takes 4-6 weeks.
